ANNOUNCEMENT

ALPE ADRIA 2007 SHORT TRACK SPEED SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS

ENTRY FORM Zagreb Trophy 2007

Slovene Skating Union and Croatian Skating Federation are honoured to invite your team at the Alpe Adria Trophy - Short Track Speed Skating Championships held in Zagreb on 31 March 2007

and
Celje on 1th April 2007.

The competition is associated with Zagreb Trophy 2007 and Open Slovene Short Track Speed Skating National Championships.

The track is an indoor Ice Rink, with the measures of 60 x 30m, with a standard track of 111.12m. Beside the original track there will be four extra tracks set up to preserve good ice conditions. Padding will cover the boards in dangerous areas.

RULES
The competition will be judged by an ISU Referee. The organizer reserves the right to change the program due to an unforseen circumstances.

Alpe-Adria Trophy Cup is a team competition and the Alpe Aedria Cup receive first placed team by adding the points acquired in the two contests (Zagreb and Celje). Points are given for reached final place in category Senior, Junior A , Junior B, Junior C , Junior D, Junior E, Junior F, Relay 3000m nad 2000m. First place 10 points, second 8 points,…and so on. (Points are given only to two skaters from each team for each category). From each team the two best placed skaters are awarded with points. Team with highest number of points receive Alpe Adria Cup for year 2007. If in placement is a tie then the higer score in senior (men and ladies) category decides the winer.

CATEGORIES
Ladies and Men (Girls and Boys) will be divided into the following age groups :

Seniors : born before 30.06.1987.
Juniors A : 01.07.1987 – 30.06.1989.
Juniors B : 01.07.1989 - 30.06.1991.
Juniors C : 01.07.1991 - 30.06.1993.
Juniors D : 01.07.1993 – 30.06.1995.
Juniors E : 01.07.1995 – 30.06.1997.
Juniors F : born 01.07.1997 and later

Please note that the organizer reserves the right to join certain age groups in races, after consulting with the Competitor Steward, if there is not enough skaters in the individual groups. There is also a possibility of mixed gender groups. Results wil be calculated for each group separatley independent from grouping in races.

DISTANCES

Knocking out system should be aplyed.
Seniors, Juniors A, Juniors B : 1500 m + 500m + 1000m 1500 superfinal
Juniors C : 1000m + 500m + 800m 1000m superfinal
Junior D : 800m + 333m + 500m 800m superfinal
Junior E,F : 500 m + 333m + 222m 500 superfinal

Relay : 3000m (Seniors, Juniors A and B) – teams with 4 skaters
Relay : 2000m (Juniors C , D and E) – teams with 3 skaters

In relay races, skaters will be divided into two age groups :
Group A : Seniors + Juniors A + Juniors B
Group B : Juniors C + Juniors D + Juniors E

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
There will be a Medical representative present at the warm up and during the competition.

EQUIPMENT
In order to maintain safety on ice, we ask the participating skaters to be equipment with a proper helmet; shin, knee and neck protectors and cut resistant gloves.

ACCOMODATION
The participating teams are solely responsible for the accomodation and meals. There is a possibility of a full-board hotel accomodation for the teams who will be arriving before the day of the competition.

There is possibility for owernight in Zagreb or in Celje

ENTRIES
Preliminary entries must reach the Organizer until March 19th , the dead line for the Final entries is March 26th.

LIABILITY
The Organizing Committee declines all responsibility for any loss or damage during the competition. The skaters are requested to cover their own health insurance.
